The Forest Shelter project is rooted in a sustainable architectural approach, grounded in the landscape and guided by the use of natural materials. The space was conceived as a place of continuity with the outdoors, where materiality, light, and texture fully shape the experience of the site. The use of hempcrete and lime finishes stands as a tangible demonstration that buildings can be designed with materials that, beyond performance, actively contribute to carbon storage.
Building envelope: 12″ cast-in-place hempcrete — floor, walls, and roof
Interior and exterior finish: Classic lime plaster, STONE finish
